ACCESSIBILITY

Calgary Opera strives to make the opera experience accessible to everyone

Please note the following services are for Main Stage performances at the Jubilee Auditorium only. The Mamdani Opera Centre is, regrettably, not a barrier-free facility.

Accessible Parking

It is recommended that patrons with accessibility needs use the parking stalls in the surface lot or adjacent to the North Entrance Doors. While there are parking stalls for patrons with accessibility needs in the Jubilee Auditorium Parkade, these stalls provide access to AUArts only. Patrons should note that the indoor route from the Parkade to the auditorium contains stairs which may be a barrier.

Handi-Bus parking is available on the northwest side of the building or wheelchair patrons may be dropped off at the main doors.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Limited wheelchair and companion seating is available at the Jubilee Auditorium. Tickets for wheelchair accessible seating can only be purchased through the Box Office. Wheelchair seating must be arranged at the time of purchase. Wheelchair accessible or limited mobility seating can’t be guaranteed without prior arrangement.

  • The Jubilee Auditorium is fully wheelchair accessible (with the exception of the second balcony) with ramps available at the north entrance.

  • Accessible parking is available in the North Lot only.

ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES

Please visit the coat check to sign out an assisted listening device.

SERVICE DOGS

Certified service dogs are welcome in the Jubilee Auditorium. Service dogs on duty are recognized by a proper harness.
